Petitions and Pestering

Is anyone else getting harrassed by DA on a daily basis to upgrade to paid membership? They've been driving me crazy with these messages lately. Nevermind that I would've gotten one already if I could afford it...

And on another, slightly embarrassing note, I have a bit of a request to make to you guys. You see, one of mine and my mom's favorite soap operas, Guiding Light, is about to be cancelled after 72 years and over 15,700 episodes. It's only of the longest running soap operas in America, and one of my personal favorites, and I wouldn't be surprised if any of you have family members that watch it just as religiously as my mom and I do.

A petition has been started in order to save the soap from cancellation. My mom and I have already signed it, and I hope some of you guys will as well. Please go here to see it; [link]

Yes! Ad block can only make so many of them disappear. I got one message telling me I had over 100 deviation and the servers couldn't take the strain or some crap like that, so why don't I upgrade to Premium?! :D

...Even if that server strain tripe were true, I have far less than 100 deviations on my account. So. Much. Fail.

I've been getting that one, too (Though to be fair, I really do have more then 100 submissions. But I doubt it's as much a strain on the servers as they say...)

Not quite a daily basis for me, but I've been steadily getting annoyed with the semi-constant "Buy a subscription!" nagging. It's making me less inclined to get one when I get everything I need from the free account. "No more ads!" Funny, AdBlock Plus takes care of the ad banners, including the uncomfortably regular malware-infested ones.

Even though personally I'm more of a General Hospital Fan, i went and signed the petition(i signed it LJ from America, if you want to look).

There are only 4 things you need to know to survive:

I've never watched General Hospital myself... ^^; It ust never made my mom's soap list, so it bypassed me too. I'll check it out!

While I'm not a soap opera fan in general, I went and signed it for ya :D
Shows that have been running for that long and still manage to maintain it's quality over the years doesn't deserve to be shoved off like that.
